The team is comprised of highly experienced investment professionals based in Rio de Janeiro who have significant international experience that is supported by postgraduate educations from leading business schools across the United States and Europe.

Mr. Fahlgren joined Mubadala Investment Company in 2010 and has held multiple senior roles in the organization. He is currently the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Brazil for Mubadala Capital, a wholly owned asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company. 
 
Mr. Fahlgren led Mubadala's investment into the EBX group as well as all subsequent related restructuring work and acquisitions. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Fahlgren was an Associate Director with Terra Firma Capital Partners in London. 
 
Mr. Fahlgren received his Master of Laws (LLM) from Uppsala University, Sweden.

Oscar Fahlgren

Leonardo Yamamoto joined Mubadala in 2017 and is the Executive Director. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Yamamoto was a Principal at H.I.G. Capital, where he co-founded the Brazil office, sourced, and invested in several control transactions across multiple sectors. Before that, he was an investment professional at Actis and GP Investments and a consultant at BCG. Mr. Yamamoto has over sixteen years of experience in Private Equity and has served on the board of multiple companies. 
 
Mr. Yamamoto holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from UNICAMP.

Leonardo Yamamoto

Sergio Carneiro joined Mubadala in 2019 and is the Executive Director. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Carneiro was a Director for The Carlyle Group in Brazil, where he sourced and invested in several transactions across multiple sectors. Previously, he was an investment professional at GP Investments and a consultant at McKinsey. Mr. Carneiro has over fourteen years of experience in Private Equity in the region and has served on the board of multiple companies. 
 
Mr. Carneiro holds an MBA with Honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from UFRJ.

Sergio Carneiro

Ricardo Paes joined Mubadala in 2016 and is the Strategic Relations Director. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Paes was head of the private equity arm of Modal Investimentos, a leading Brazilian asset manager, and focused on investments in the oil and gas. Prior to joining Modal, Mr. Paes was the CFO of LLX-Minas Rio (currently Prumo), a port operator, and Brasbunker, an oil field services company. In addition, he has significant experience in corporate restructuring through his prior role as Senior Director at Alvarez &amp; Marsal. 
 
Mr. Paes holds an undergraduate degree in Business from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.

Ricardo Paes

Breno Nakai joined Mubadala in 2016 and is a Director. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Nakai was an investment professional at Amaro Participações where he was responsible for analyzing public and private opportunities within the Brazilian market.&nbsp; Before that, he worked on the M&amp;A team of Itaú Unibanco and the Corporate Finance team of Deloitte Consulting.&nbsp; 
 
Mr. Nakai holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in Business from Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP) in Brazil.

Breno Nakai

Renan Andrade joined Mubadala in 2019 and is a Senior Principal. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Andrade was a consultant at McKinsey &amp; Company, responsible for analyzing positioning, strategy, markets, and acquisitions. In addition, he has worked as an analyst at GP Investments (São Paulo) and an associate at The Abraaj Group (Mexico City), responsible for origination, analysis, execution, and monitoring of illiquid investments with the infrastructure team. 
 
Mr. Andrade holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s in International Studies (MA) from the University of Pennsylvania (Lauder) and an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).

Renan Andrade

Leonardo Cunha joined Mubadala in 2016 and is a Senior Principal. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Cunha was an associate in the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs where he was part of the Goldman Sachs team advising Mubadala on its investment in EBX group and involved in assignments related to the subsequent restructuring of the investment.&nbsp; Before that, Mr. Cunha worked on the investment banking teams of Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank in Brazil.&nbsp; 
 
Mr. Cunha holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and an undergraduate degree in business from FGV-EAESP in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Victor Bosca joined Mubadala Capital in 2021 and is a Senior Associate. Mr. Bosca joined from Bank of America’s investment banking division in London, where he worked within EMEA’s Natural Resources Group. Before that, he worked in the investments team of AG Participações in Brazil and, previously, for Procter &amp; Gamble. 
 
Mr. Bosca holds an MBA from London Business School and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidade do Estado do Amazonas in Brazil with an exchange at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha in Spain.

Andre Ramos joined Mubadala in 2021 and is a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Ramos was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan and a consultant with McKinsey &amp; Company. 
 
Mr. Ramos holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MPA from Harvard, and an undergraduate degree in Engineering from Instituto Militar de Engenharia.

Marcelo Timm joined Mubadala in 2019 and is a Principal. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Timm was an analyst in the Investment Banking division of J.P. Morgan in New York and Sao Paulo. 
 
Mr. Timm holds an undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics from McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

Julia Maffei joined Mubadala Capital in 2023 and is a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala, Ms. Maffei was an Associate at L Catterton’s LatAm Fund and before that she worked as an Associate at Temasek’s Sao Paulo office. 
 
Ms. Maffei holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from FGV – Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

Matheus Rossetto joined Mubadala Capital in 2022 and is a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Rossetto was Chief Transformation Officer at Patria and before that, he worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey in the Chicago and São Paulo offices. 
 
Mr. Rossetto holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering degree from Federal University of Santa Catarina.

Matheus Rossetto

Eduardo Santos joined Mubadala Capital in 2024 and is a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Santos served as a Consultant and Manager at Bain &amp; Company and worked on various projects in M&amp;A integration and PE due diligences. Before that, he worked at GP Investments. 
 
Mr. Santos holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Unicamp.

Daniel Schiller joined Mubadala Capital in 2024 and is a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Schiller served as a Partner &amp; Investment Professional at VELT Partners. Before that, he worked at The Carlyle Group in Brazil / the USA and in the Investment Banking industry at Credit Suisse. 
 
Mr. Schiller holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) with an exchange at King's College London.

Daniel Schiller

Rogério Vasconcelos joined Mubadala Capital in 2024 and is a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Vasconcelos worked at Axxon Group, a Private Equity Fund and served as an interim CFO for one of the fund’s portfolio companies. Before that, he worked at Victória Capital and Patria Investments. 
 
Mr. Vasconcelos holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronautica (ITA).

Rogério Vasconcelos

Gustavo Xavier joined Mubadala Capital in 2022 and is a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala, Mr. Xavier successfully led the start-up VOA Hotels as CFO through the pandemic years. Before that, he spent 7 years in the Investment Banking and Equity Research industry at Lazard and SPX Capital. 
 
Mr. Xavier holds an undergraduate degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

Vinicius Bueno joined Mubadala Capital in 2024 and is an Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Vinicius worked at Morgan Stanley as an Investment Banking Associate and Analyst. Vinicius began his career in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs and Modal Mais. 
 
Vinicius holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (USP).

Thomas Cunha joined Mubadala Capital in 2024 and is an Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Mr. Cunha worked at Vinci Partners / SPS Capital as an Associate and Analyst. He began his career in Private Equity at Hudson Advisors / Lone Star Funds and Investment Banking at Makalu Partners.&lt;.p&gt; 
 
Mr. Cunha holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (USP).

Thomas Cunha

Gabriel Feitosa joined Mubadala Capital in 2023 and is an Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Gabriel worked as a Private Equity Analyst at GP Investments and before that he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst for Advisia Investments. 
 
Gabriel holds an undergraduate degree in computer engineering from Unicamp.

Gabriel Feitosa

Eduardo Reinaux joined Mubadala Capital in 2023 and is an Associate. Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Eduardo worked as a Private Equity Associate at IG4 Capital. Eduardo began his career at the IFC (International Finance Corporation), as part of the financial institutions group investment team. 
 
Eduardo holds an undergraduate degree in Economics (honors) from McGill University, in Canada.
